Jan Austen recipe card winner and new giveaway!!

HELLO everybody!

It's spring here and we've been outside as much as we can, gazing up at that strange ball of fire in the sky... The sun feels SOOOO good! And then at night, the sky is clear again and we can see stars- and the moon!!
Isn't this amazing? The winter has seemed SO LONG, but we're finally at the end. And we're so much closer to the paper release of Pride, Prejudice and Cheese Grits in JUNE and Emma, Mr. Knightley and Chili-Slaw Dogs in July!
I feel like I've been waiting and waiting, like an expectant mother... except I know exactly what my babies look like. :)

Ok, time to announce a winner! LUTHIEN84, rafflecopter loves you and wants you to have these awesome Austen recipe cards! I have a set and they really are the cutest thing. I'll have them sent straight from the etsy shop, so be sure to contact me on the Pride, Prejudice and Cheese Grits page with your address.

So, you're all wondering what's next, right? Well, here it is! My favorite giveaway so far (and I've loved them all).
I've already ordered these, because I wasn't sure how big the book was, or how sturdy dolls were... and I was very impressed! It's a magazine sized book, with nice, thick pages and bright colors!

Do you all know what's better than a Pride and Prejudice paper doll book?
I mean, besides Brown Sugar Pound Cake with Quick Caramel Glaze, which I've shared over on the recipe site Yankee Belle Cafe. I'm there every Wednesday and the occasional weekend, and most of the time what I'm cooking is edible. No guarantees, but I try.

So,  what's BETTER than  Pride and Prejudice paper doll book? THREE Pride and Prejudice paper doll books! I suppose I could space them out a bit, but I think I'm running out of weeks, and still have LOTS of prizes, so I'm going to start doubling up.  Enter early and often, and if your name comes up twice, you'll get two! One for you and one for a friend... or two for you, if you're greedy like that.

Did anybody watch Austenland? Did you LLURRRRRRV it? Or just like it a lot? I liked it, loved JJ Feilds but I thin I'm still a BBC gal.

  2. You know, I liked the book much better but when is the book NOT better than the movie!? So, it was alright and very pretty scenery. Also, the characters were eye candy, a big bonus!

  3. I bought Austenland! It's one of those movies that's a fun, mindless escape that I LOVE! So many funny/quotable lines. And I also loved how awkward and REAL Jane Hayes character was. I'd probably be the same....like trying to get off a horse... LOL

    1. There are some really funny scenes! And I loved how she realizes she's paid for the "cheaper" package and isn't going to get a happy ending... so she decides to make her own!

  4. I thought it was hilarious! Especially all the fun pokes at the Americans when you know that the author, director, producer, and screenwriter are all American women. And JJ Field was adorable!

    1. I have friends who are huge fans of JJ Field, but I didn't know who he was... until this. He's really wonderful. Such vulnerability!

  5. Love the paperdolls! I spent hours playing with paperdolls when I was a kid. Off to look for Austenland now. I am a BBC fan too and am always disappointed we have to wait for shows in the US.

    1. Hi Cheryl! Austenland is a movie released last year, but now on video. Shannon Hale wrote the book, and she also produced the movie. It's a contemporary love story about an Austen-obsessed woman who spends her life savings to take the ultimate Austen vacation.

  6. I liked Austenland.. I hate waiting for the BBC shows to come to us here in the states. The paperdolls are great. I make them for my first grade girls to play with.
